GAME ON
It’s summer! That means many different things, depending what part of your professional career you are in. For students, this means free time, maybe an internship, no exams (yay!). For those who are in similar positions to me, this means our first/one of our first summers that is actually just a continuation of work, but with weekends feeling extra needed.
No matter what your summer looks like, this change of season and general increase in happiness (as Canadians, we live for summer), makes for a perfect time to build connections!
I credit many of the networking and communication skills I have today to the 150+ coffee chats I have had. I have grown professionally and learned so much through getting to speak with business professionals from many different backgrounds.
Now, I understand that reaching out to a stranger to have a chat can really spike the anxiety and get us out of our comfort zones. However, this summer my challenge to you is to really up your networking game, strengthen your communication skills, and build sustainable connections by participating in NETWORKING BINGO.
This format allows you to approach networking in a more fun and casual way that is meant to help you WIN in your professional development.
