A Blog Post About Blogging

"Do you disagree with some of the things you have posted on your blog?"

Yes.

"You know you can delete them right?"

Yes.

Will I? No way!

This was part of a conversation I had the other day on how blogging is like thinking out loud... but in front of a lot of people and the vulnerability that comes with that.

I never really thought of that.. it is a vulnerable hobby- to share lifestyle and career advice when I am 23 years into life and less than a year into a full time job- I get it.

I could easily think (and have had the thought come and go many times), "what do I know?".

Most people blog when they have become an expert in something. Whether it's blogging about how they cracked the code to make difficult recipes fool proof for the most amateur cook, or the best tips and tricks for re-decorating your home for a fraction of a price, most people posting their knowledge publicly have done a lot of what they are writing about.

Not sure if I am changing the narrative, being a little naive, or a bit of all of the above- but it is not about how old you are, how much life experience you've had, we can all learn so much from those around us!

I write my current thoughts and life happenings as a growing collection and knowledge base of mistakes, lessons, and experiences that showcase my personal and professional development growth over the years.

Even looking back to a year ago when I started Brooke Does Her Best, the experiences I have had both professionally and personally, skills I have gained, and people I have met are all part of who I am and where I am now.... and whatever I end up doing in the future!

Blogging is my way of staying in the present by taking my experiences and meditating on them through creative writing to soak the most of what I learned, felt, and will take with me going forward.

It's also my way of connecting with others who resonate with my writing and those who have shared experiences and emotions to what I write about.

It will be fun to look back at my confusion/naivety, wisdom, creativity, wonder, and see where it got me.

For now I dump my brain here for you all to read!
